Re: Printing invoices

There’s a possibility that the font file is bad.  Have you tried
reinstalling that particular font?

Integrity Check – Command Line??

I am using peachtree complete accounting 2002, my operating system is
Windows NT 4.0.   I need to run integrity checks and forgot the command
line.  Does anybody know what the command line is?  I tried using
"C:\Program Files\Peachtree\peachw.exe -i".  I get an error message that it
cannot find the file and to make sure that the path is correct and all
required libraries are available.

Any assistance will be appreciates.

Thanks.

Print checks on blank check stock

Any suggestions on obtaining correct fonts and/or forms for printing checks
from PW on blank check stock?  It doesn’t seem that PW comes prepared for
blank stock.

PT 5w (don't laugh) running on XP printing Q?

We’ve been using Peachtree for 10+ years and the last upgrade was to
5.0 for Windows.  We looked at PT 2002 but there was nothing new or
different that we needed so we continue to use verison 5.0.

We just migrated to an XP Home box.  PT 5W works very well except for
AP Checks.

Our check printer is a real old Lexmark 2380 connected to LPT1: and
even though XP prints to it just fine, whe we try to open the Custom
Designed check forms we get the message "ibm238x.drv not found".
We assume this is a printer driver issue so we redefined the printer
as a 2480.  Now no checks print at all.

Next we selected the MultiAP 1-Stub check and it actually prints OK
but advances 1 inch extra.  In design the forms length is 8.5 x 8.0
whereas the actual checks are 8.5 x 7.0 and we cannot find anywhere to
redefine that.

In the design screen where one would normally define the page length
these boxes are greyed out and will not allow any entry.

Anyone have a clue as to how we can solve either of these problems?
Most importantly how to reduce the forms length in the referenced
check?

Thanks.

More info re: PT5W check printing (NOT!)…

Following the guidelines in one of PT’s knowledge base regarding 1
stub checks, we have been able to define a 7" length check.

However, while a practice check, the printer test page BOTH print to
the printer, when we print checks we get NOTHING.  The program goes
through the motions as expected to the point where is asks if its OK
to assign the numbers.  But NOTHING came out.

There’s nothing in the spool queue for this printer and the printer IS
online and ready.  Without changing anything, if we print a test page
from the XP printer define panel it prints.

Any ideas how to overcome this?

I’m sorry for expressing our frustration but you can see why we’ve
been reluctant to upgrade.

Materials in process?

I am familiar w/Peachtree for windows but my newest job is for a
shrimp processing plant that buys raw material (shrimp) processes it
(peels and/or heads it etc) and ends up with another product (for exm
they buy 100 lbs raw shrimp and end up with 50 lbs. small and 20 lbs
large peeled shrimp – the loss in lbs due to peeling and heading the
shrimp).

How can Peachtree keep track of this?  Thanks.

Other Peachtree Resources

Just wondering…

Are there any other forums/NGs that specifically target Peachtree (or
Peachtree related suff… CR, DDEs, etc.)?

I only know of 3 (this one, peachtreeusers and tek-tips)… Any others that
I’m not aware of?

Thanks,

Javier

copying financial statment report formats

I have multiple companies that I keep track of using Peachtree Complete
Accounting 2002.  How do you copy financial statement report formats from
one company to another?  I want to avoid having to manually set up the same
report format in each company.

Any response will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Tracking serial numbers with invoices (Peachtree 2003)

Hello All,

I am trying to switch from Quickbooks 6.0 to Peachtree Accounting 2003
and there is one obstacle that I am not able to overcome and I’m hoping
someone here can help.

I run a dental handpiece repair business and I need to be able to track
the serial numbers of the dental handpieces for warranty purposes.

In Quickbooks I was able to make a custom field in the ‘Edit Item’ window
and then add that custom field (s/n) to my invoice in the Layout
Designer.  Then, when I created a invoice for a customer, there was a
column right alongside ‘Item’, ‘Description’, ‘Quantity’, etc. call ‘S/N’
so that I could enter the information right on the spot.

I cannot seem to replicate this in Peachtree.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Daryl
