Does anyone know of a good resource that describes the purpose and content
of each of the Pt files for version 6.0.

PT6.0 File Information
Changing start-up drive
How can I change the default drive for data when Peachtree (6.0) first loads
up. I have moved the default data file from a network drive to the local
drive and would rather have Peachtree look at the local drive for the
company file first.
THanks.

Does Peachtree support – Multicurrency ?
Hello all…
I need to know if the Peachtree Complete Accounting version 6.0 supports
multicurrency or not.
This is very important for our line of business.
I will appreciate your feedback. Please write to amuns…@dubexonline.com
Thanks.

Peachtree Complete on Network
Greetings,
I am in charge of a computer network for a small sized company. We
are currently using Peachtree 6.0, and are having problems with the
system crashing.
The system is setup as a network, with the peachtree data files
(company) located in a shared drive on the server, (NT). The client
computers are Windows 95 and 98. When one of these systems starts
doing some extensive postings, etc., they get an error saying that
PeachTree has trouble with drive F (mapped network drive), and get
dumped out of Peachtree.
I can understand this happening if we had a slow network, especially
since PeachTree isn’t properly setup for client/server configuration,
but the network is 100mbs, and the systems are Pentium II, and fast in
their own right.
In addition, despite the fast network, several of the reports/postings
take a long time to execute.
We have tried all the suggested speed optimizations, patches, etc.,
but with no success.
Any suggestions regarding these issues are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
W.Morrison

Peachtree Report Writer problem
I’m trying to use Peachtree Report Writer on a fairly new PII-350 with
32M of RAM (config.sys has 250 files and 100 buffers set, I believe).
I’m running Peachtree Complete + TB 6.0. I’m trying to run a stored
procedure: a sample one on YTD Customer Balances, with a prompt for date
span (01/01/1999, 03/31/1999 provided by me). At the end of the
processing I get a system error (Close, Ignore) referring to IQWin,
followed by a system dialog that boots me out of PRW completely. I can
run the same procedure on a laptop without a problem. Also I’ve run my
own procedures on the same system that’s crashing without hangup. Of
course after hanging up, I can’t start PRW again until I’ve rebooted the
system. Any ideas out there? Thanks!

Rptdatai.dat
I’m using PT+TB6.0 on a windows95 peer-to-peer network. My problem is
that when I go to the Reports menu I get a message that the PT was not
able to read/write to the file rptdatai.dat. I tries running Integrity
Check but I don’t see any options to repair the rptdatai.dat. When I
run the exact data on a stand-alone computer I don’t get this error
message.
Could anyone suggest a solution. My config.sys has "files=255" on all
workstations.
Thanks in advance.
