What has anyone tried succcessfully to get acces to it remotely?
Possible thoughts I had:
multiple dedicated cpus/modems – pcAnyWhere
integrated multiple cpu/modem box – pcAnyWhere
MS NT Terminal Server Edition – whatever terminal product they provide
Citrix for NT
And what about being able to print remotely? Not sure how well this works.

Does anyone know of a barcode reader add-on
program / system for Peachtree Complete (versions
6.0 or 7.0). A Nursery that uses Peachtree for
Inventory would like to generate barcode labels
for its plants.
They would like to be able to scan those labels
into the computer to record the sale of inventory
items, have invoices generated in Peachtree
including the scanned items, and have inventory
updated for the sale of the scanned items.

How can I add new account types to Peachtree for Windows Version 5.0 and/or
change the names of existing ones?
I am converting from another accounting system and the customer is used to
certain account type names that I like to preserve for their convenience.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Why doesn’t Peachtree put a unit of measure column on their invoices
and screens (order entry and invoicing). It’s very frustrating for my
customers trying to figure out what unit we are billing. We sell
products by the each, case, roll, thousand, etc. This seems such a
simple matter, but I’ve not been able to get Peachtree’s attenion for
this issue.
Can anyone help?

I have just spent the better part of two weeks getting Peachtree setup for
my Vet Clinic.
I’m a vet and not an accountant, but my accountant isn’t much help in some
fairly basic issues when it comes to this system.
So — please bear with my rather basic questions.
How do I get Peachtree Version 5.0 to print a bank deposit slip at the end
of the day?

I recently hired a new accountant who uses Peachtree and I would like to get
her a copy of my books so I not only have an offsite backup, but so she can
easily do her own reports.
Since I recently made the mistake of restoring my company’s data over the
sample company that comes with the program, how do I get my data onto her
computer.
I have loaded my backup files to her PC, but restore destroys whatever
company is open and the restore command isn’t available unless a company is
open. do I have to create a new company. I actually did look in the manual
(briefly) and didn’t see how to do this.

At the end of this year, we have to close out our current company & open
a new one since Peachtree only allows 2 years to be open. We don’t want
to close out a year because we need the customer sales history available
for past years.
In closing out the company we can make it a read-only file & allow our
sales to open it to view but that would require them to close the
current company, open the old company, get the information & then close
the old company & re-open the new one. Is there an easier way????? Or
can we move 1999 to a new company & make 2000 the second year & only
have to go back for history in 1998, (which would not be as often.)?????
We have Peachtree Version 5 & waiting for 7 to come out so we can
upgrade.

Is there anyway to reprint invoices for a prior year if that fiscal year (1998)
is closed? When I bring the invoice up the print button is grayed out?

Has anyone else noticed past due amounts on the statements mysteriously moving
between categories? I’ve noticed this when printing statements and have had
customers calling saying their accounts are not past due (or not over 90 days,
etc.) and when I reprint the statement the amount is then in the correct
category.
