Peach ver. 11 problem

Have a few computers running peer to peer with ver 11. some will not
print to screen. seems once you try to install a local printer, things
get messed up. On one computer I just removed the printer,….print to
screen worked again. Not so with some of the others. Using Win 95 on
most machines.

Any Ideas? Thanks in advance !

Urgent! Re-loaded PAW3.5.5 can' find forms file

I had to reload PAW 3.5 and then restore my backups today. All went OK until
I logged onto the first company – after the password entry I got the
following error message:

"Is not a legal program path in the PAW35.INI file."

I clicked OK and looked around the program. All thebalances are ok and
everything works with the exception of report printing. The program can find
none of the reports.

I’ve also noticed that there was no PAW35.INI on the old computer, but there
was a PAW36.INI. I tried deleting the PAW35.INI file from my Windows folder,
but I get the same errors. It seems that the upgrade to 3.5.5 is supposed to
replace the PAW35.ini with PAW36.ini? If so, do I now need to re-install
3.5, then upgrade it to 3.5.5 all over again?

Password lost

I am the system administrator for a school running PCAW+Time and Billing
version 6.0 and someone, probably a student, has changed or erased the
access passwords of everyone, including mine.

Luckily, the only one left working is mine, but has been downgraded
to limited user capacity.

Is there a way to recuperate this passwords ?

Any help is appreciated

Sincerely

Eddy

PAW 3.5.5 Update won't load

When I attempt to update my PAW 3.5.2 to 3.5.5 the updater says it cannot
find a version of PAW 3.5 to update on the system. Any idea what’s happening
here?

Reports Not Visible to Edit

I upgraded to 7.0 from 6.0 of Peachtree Complete with T&B. When I try to
open any report in Design mode, I get a grey screen and an error message
saying that my logo and text objects are outside the boundaries of the
report. Yet they work fine when it comes to printing. My main reports
are quote, PO, and invoice, each of which I modified in 6.0 to include
our logo and a few other objects. HAs anyone else seen this problem and
what was the solution?

Re: Help with error message -acct ###### doesn't foot….

With Peachtree closed and no other users in the company, use the
Explorer to find your company directory.

Delete the SORTJOB.DAT file.  (NOTE: Deleting this file DOES NOT delete
any transactions, but if you prefer, just rename it to SORTJOB.OLD)

Start PT, go to your company.  PT will detect the missing SORTJOB.DAT
file and rebuild it. This could take a long time, depending on computer
power & file size.

When it’s done, try your G/L report again.

Error 20081

Client has received an error message 20081 and been kicked out of PAWC
v6.  They have not told me the balance of the error message or when or
how the error is arising.  As you might guess this is not the easiest
client to  work with.

First, does anyone have an idea of what Error 20081 is?  If so, do you
have an idea of how to clear it?

Second, is there a place to check error messages.  The only error
messages I’m finding in the manual accompanying the software has to do
with Electronic Bill Payment which the client does not use.  I would
like to see the error code list so when a client has  encountered one I
could at least come up with a description of the problem and not simply
punt.

Thanks in advance

Question

I’m enrolled in a two year Accounting Technology course at the local
community college. One of the classes I am taking next term is a
computerized accounting course that will feature Peachtree Accounting 7.0.
There is no requirement to buy the program but I think I’d like to, if for
no other reason than to get more familiar with it.  Do any of you have any
comment on whether this would be worthwhile?
Thanks, Bill

Printing custom forms PAW 6.0

Here’s a new one.  My client is running Windows 98 peer to peer with 3
computers.  Computers 2 and 3 work fine when printing a custom invoice which
is saved to a specific printer on Computer 3.  Whenever we run it from
computer 1 it prints the invoice on Computer 1′s default HP 5M Color Laser
printer.  If we then try go back into design the invoice or print the
invoice on computer 3 and it has changed the printer to Computer 1′s network
path name for the locally attached printer (i.e. it is Panasonic attached
locally but it will now show Panasonic on \\G3, the network mapping for the
printer from computer 1).

We have re-installed PAW, Windows 98 on all work stations.  We have
completely re-built the invoice after re-installing PAW.  Any suggestions?
Peachtree support says not a PAW problem and gave up.

TIA
Steve
