Is there a program out there to work with Inventory in peachtree for Dos
v.11. I need to have a barcoding wand directly remove/add inventory into
peachtree, perferably by downloading information from the wand daily.
If anyone has a company in mind or knows that there is no company – either
way please reply……ASAP!!!
If there is no company…does anyone know the best/easiest way????

When I get a duplicate receipt and there are no invoices open for a
customer, the only option is to post to revenues. This does not show up in
the customer’s ledger as a credit balance. We do credits at the end of the
month. I don’t want to do a credit memo immediately. Does anyone know if
there is a way to post the receipt so that it shows up as a credit balance
in the ledger?
Is there a way to copy the import setup (which fields are checked) to
another
company within Prachtree? Also, is there a way to print the list of selected
fields. It becomes very hard to write the export from another program
without
having a printed list.

Just installed PAW 7 on WIN 98 for a furniture company wanted to know what
is the best way to set up layaway plans? Right now, I have an invoice set
up that shows the amount of the partial payment and total still due whenever
a customer comes in to make a payment. Is there a better way? I really
don’t want a long list of invoices for just one sale. Any help you could
give would be appreciated.

We’ve been running PAW (7.03 rel.) on a peer2peer Win network and just made
the upgrade to a hub and dedicated a new 600mHPentium3 as the file server
for the Peachtree data files. All the NICs and hub are 3Com 10/100BaseT and
we’ve seen a big improvement in speed.
My question is: since all the users were originally configured to use a
different computer for the data server, and now the new file server has a
different file designation (we’ve set each user to access the new server),
do we need to reinstall PAW on each computer setting the new server as the
data default? If so, do we reinstall the original PAW7 then do the 7.03
upgrade, or just redo the 7.03 alone?
It seems that the users computers are still defaulting to the old data
drive, so I suspect that the reinstall is necessary.

Just installed PCAW7.03 on a new network computer and entered the serial#
and registration code from PT. The app accepts the numbers and runs. But,
for some reason it asks for the numbers again each time I start it. It has
also asked for the numbers on other computers networked to it (it’s the file
server).
Is there some way to correct this?

I have Peachtree Complete 7.0 for Windows
we operate on Win98SE peer-to-peer networking
we have a "server" machine with the PCA data files and the program, and
4 workstations with just the program..linked to the data on
the "server"….
We can print checks, invoices, statements, and reports from
the "server" PC but not from any of the "workstation" PC’s….
Is this common? If it is, I will live with it. We are only one store,
and only really print fom one printer (which is attached to a
workstation, BTW )so is more annoying than devastating..but would like
to know if this is a normal Peachtree problem

Hi!
We just set up a medical reimbursement plan for our employees where they
can have funds deducted, pre-tax, from their pay. The funds are then
available to them for reimbursement of qualified medical expenses that
they have throughout the year. If they don’t use the funds by the end
of the year, they lose the money – a "use or lose" deal.
Is anyone familiar with how to set up this type of deduction in the
Peachtree payroll module, so that the funds are not taxes, and are not
included in the employee’s gross pay on their W-2 at the end of the
year?

I have received an INVCHAIN.dat message. I have followed tech support
guidelines, reindex files, delete sortjob.dat and even later repair the
company. I have restored from previous backups stored in separate
locations and I have reinstalled Peachtree built a new company and tried
to use previous backups. All data seems to be in tact and only when I
try to adjust inventory or post a sales invoice do I receive this error.
My previous backups were made and we were not receiving any of these
type errors

Hi there –
I’m developing a VB6 app that is going to take
data from our ODBC source (some database via SQL)
and put it into the Peachtree payroll journal.
What I really need to do is put hours worked,
pay rate, and other pertinent employee information
in there on a per-day basis (or even multiple
entries per day). I have been using DDE to poke
this data through, but I cannot for the life
of me find the records in peachtree. I’ve poked
complete payroll journal entries in, but when I
look in Peachtree, I cannot find my data. Now,
I’ve never worked with DDE before so I may just
be an idiot, but does anyone have any help to
spare?
