WOW! I thought Andrea really knew everything about all versions
of QB
The official QB web site page below has many QB6 y2k
ERRORS. The site wrongly calls them "Year 2000 issues." The
first time you waste more than the upgrade cost, because you can
not see which report printed last, you will know they are serious
errors. Other errors are more serious, but happen less often.

However, do no let that make you upgrade to QB2000 (the only
QB you should skip).

Reports: The "prepared date" does not appear in a report if the system
date is later than January 1, 2000.
Solution
If you need the "prepared date" to be printed on a report, manually
write or stamp the date on the report.

For fiscal year filers with fiscal years in 2000 and beyond, exporting
data from QuickBooks 6.0 into TurboTax for Business ’99 or ProSeries ’99
may result in incorrect information.
Solution
If you are a fiscal filer and you export data from QuickBooks 6.0 into
TurboTax for Business ’99 or ProSeries ’99, please call 1-800-682-7305
and use priority code 703611 to obtain a free solution.

When exporting Budgets using the QuickBooks IIF file format, Budgets
containing dates in years after 1999 export as the year 101.
Solution
You will need to correct the dates manually by editing the IIF file
itself in Wordpad (a Windows utility) or another text editor, or in your
destination application (such as Microsoft Excel). You can also correct
them by using search and replace in Wordpad or, if available, in such
other text editor or destination application. If you are importing the
data back into this version of QuickBooks without otherwise changing
such information, no further action is necessary.
