Enhancements for DOS ver.10

At present I am running DOS ver.10 and I am fairly happy with it. I was
previously running DOS ver.5 and I was very happy with it , but I was
made to upgrade because of year 2000 problems.
While working with ver.5 I had purchased some an add on program called
Peach plus. It really was a very good add on program. It did the
following for me:

    1. I could enter a deposit on hold in an invoice and it would show up
in the transaction register in the cash account and a deposit liability
account.
     2. If I had a return on an item, I could make an invoice along
with a transaction ‘DR` which would create a refund liability account.
     3. I could print a range of posted invoices for a particular
customer.

Version 10 does not allow me to do that. Is there an enchancement
availble for ver. 10 which would permit me accomplish the above tasks or
is  the Windows version advanced enough at present to allow me to
accomplish these tasks which I was able accomplish many
years ago with version 5.

        Many thanks for any help.

Need file Pchlib32.dll

I’ve been running Peachtree Complete Accounting 2002 in my home office, but
recently an associate of mine tried to update it with new tax code changes,
and now it won’t run anymore, telling me I’m missing file "Pchlib32.dll" If
anyone can please find this file in their installation directory and email
it to me, I’d be eternally grateful. Thanks a lot.

KSSIT?

Have a TX employer who employs a programmer in Kansas to do programming via
remote hookup. When I setup the Company payroll tax for unemployment, it
works fine. However, when testing this employee (semi-annual sal=2500, 0
exemptions) it computes zero state income tax. Client has current tax tables
and the other state of OK works fine. Anybody have any ideas of what to try?
I changed salary from low to high as well as exemptions. I see the KSSIT
tables for all statuses in the global file?????

Service and Sales on one invoice

I am new to Peachtree (using version 9).  Is there a form around that I can
modify for my needs, so that it has a section for service and a separate
section for sales?

Or do I just have to use a sales form and put the service in as a
non-inventoried item?

Thanks,

Peachtree Complete 6

Any ideas if there is some sort of problem with Peachtree Complete V6.0 and
P4s. I have had V6.0 running on a PIII with Win2k, no problem. When I
installed it on a Win2k PC with a P4, I get an error "Cannot open file
c:\peachw\test\general.dat…"

Any ideas on this one?

I have checked permissions all the way down the line. All looks ok.

Thanks in advance.

1 Invoice, multiple PO's

When several PO’s are included on one invoice from a vendor, how do I enter
the invoice and apply it to more than one purchase order?

Peachtree 6.0 Fixed Assets: General Ledger Account Name BUG

Peachtree-the-Ever-Brittle, zing us again…

Peachtree Complete Accounting Plus Time & Billing V6.0, Fixed Assets
module won’t allow us to enter our three general ledger account names
even though they appear in the popup window.

Why?

Because we use SPACES in our account naming convention.

Peachtree Accounting is fine with that but Fixed Assets is
dumbfounded.

Example, adding account "ao20 CorpCost" (a=asset o=other) for
amortization of incorporation.

Only the "ao20" is stored into the field after using the popup window
displaying existing account names. The record can not be stored
because it declares an error in the general ledger field.

CATCH 22

Hacking for workarounds, I entered the "ao20 CorpCost" with and
without parenthesis without success.

We either have to experiment with a revised field name convention that
Fixed Assets agrees with or else punt that software altogether and
stick to computing depreciation in spreadsheets.

Anyone have a better idea?  We will not adopt the classical
information absent numbering scheme for accounts. This is the computer
era for heaven sakes!

You say buy an upgrade? When we are satisfied with Peachtree’s ability
to handle our needs and have everything cooking, we’ll take the RISKS
of upgrading and setting us back doing non productive upgrade support
activities. Until then, upgrading would just compound our busywork.

Manually Entered Tax Tables Have Vanished!

This is very bizarre. I’m running v9.

I decided to economize and forego purchasing Peachtree’s Tax Service and
manually enter the tax tables for payroll calculations. With some help from
Charlie Card on this newsgroup, I was able to set up Married and Single
withholding for Fed and state of Minnesota, FICA, Medicare, FUTA and SUTA.
Yesterday I ran payroll for the first time. All calculations were correct and
withholding was correct. I backed up my data before quitting work yesterday.

Today I was reviewing the payroll process, went into File, Payroll Tax Tables,
Edit Company and noticed that all the tax tables I manually entered were
missing, and I now have dozens and dozens of tax ID #’s from 99, 00, and 01,
but no corresponding Tax Name or Formulas are listed. There are no tables for
any of these Tax ID #’s. None of these Tax ID’s were previously present on my
system.

Somehow all my manually entered Tax ID’s, formulas, and tables are gone and
have been replaced by other, non-applicable ID’s. Does anybody know what
happened? Can I fix it? Since I’ve done several invoices and other transactions
today (since backing up my files yesterday) is it possible to view and/or
extract the correct tax tables from my backup files?

Thanks in advance.
