We’ve had an error message (twice) after printing an invoice: "unable to
save invoice just printed". We can "post" and it’s saved, but why is
this happening?

You should be able to simply rename the directories in Windows, then update
the information in your PCWXX.ini file

PAWEncrypt error

I have one computer on a networked PW2003 that will not allow me to save
credit card numbers. When I try to save the data, I get an error that says
"The Registry entry for the key container could not be opened and may not
exist. PAWEncrypt AcquireOurContainer Error". Any ideas on how to fix this?

Have -.01 on vendor invoice

Help. My processor accidentally entered a vendor invoice for 1 cent too
little. When she paid the invoice, she overrode the amount to the correct
amount. How can I get rid of it?

Payroll Report for Certified Payrolls (Add SS & Fica)

I am doing certified payroll reports for a public works project. It
would be WAY useful to be able to generate a report, either with ptree
or report writer or even pawcom (I have it somewhere but never figured
out how to use it) that will report hours worked, gross amount, total
fica (ss+mc), state wh, fed wh…. Peachtree reports fica in it’s 2
separate amounts. I have to manually add them together for each
employee’s check. :(

Networking and Price Lists

Hi everybody

I’ve got to reinstall a "client" on a peer-to-peer network of Complete
2002, and I’m feeling very stupid because I’m not getting it. Last
time I did, but maybe I’m getting just older…

The manual says to set the data path to the proper network drive.
Practically this should mean, on my undertanding:

- The "server" installation is C:\PEACHW for both program and data
– So I then make "PEACHW" as shared folder on the server, and map it
as a network drive on the client
– The point is, I end up with a drive (say P:) which "is" itself the
C:\PEACHW folder. So when I have to define the data path during the
installation I cannot use it, but I have to select one of the folders
inside. And this does not work!!!

What’s the point I’m missing?? (there’s surely one…)

Then, about the price lists. Let me say that I define a retail price
list (say number 1) which is partially based on the costs, but then it
considers also the market situation. Then a dealer price (say number
3) which is slightly arranged (I mean, some items can have a 40%
discount over the retail and some others just 35%). Now, I have
special clients to whom I have to give particular conditions, which
can be a further 5% over their price list when they reach a certain
volume.

Here I’m stuck, because as long as I can see Peachtree allows
calculations only using the "last cost" as a base. What I want is that
the price list 2) have to be equal to "price list 1 – 5%", without
having to manually enter all the values (some thousands…). At the
time I imported all the inventory from a CSV file, so I was able to
arrange everything within Excel, but now that a lot of transactions
are already made it seems that I cannot even import a file from
outside. Someone has a clue???

Custom Billing Type Rates for Employees?

In the time tickets entry screen where there is the Billing Type –
normally you select Employee Rate, which is the rate specified in the
Employee screen… Is there a place to customize these? Probably
not, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I would like an Overtime Billing
Type Rate. Right now, I have a separate spreadsheet that computes
their ot rate and plug that in as an override.

Thanks for any suggestions. I could HATE public works projects for
all the extra paperwork! (sigh!)

does anyone here use peachtree for a church or other non-profit entity? If
so, how can you force peachtree to handle multiple funds: Through specific
account number schemes? or assigning specific job numbers to revenue and
expense accounts? Or another way? Thanks.

Income Statement File Name

How are the Income Statements saved on the system using Peachtree 2003? I’d
like to do some work at home but would rather not copy the entire directory
to ensure I get the updated statement.
