I need help big time. I deposited a customer’s security deposit. Three
months later, they cancelled their wedding date and I sent them a check for
the refund of their security deposit. I simply cannot void the security
deposit because I issued a check that flowed through the bank acct. Your
help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I’m self employeed and in this situation just make a note of why you had a
deposit (not included in your gross) and a payout (not included in your
expenses.)
