Can someone post a tax ID formula that calculates the 401k deduction that
takes into account the catch-up contribution for over age 50? My first
thought was to create two tax ids, one with catch-up and one without.

How can I export the ItemID and the current Quantity in PT6?

The qty field is not there in the export feature.

I recently moved Peachtree v7 from an old computer to a new one. Now when I
try to pull up a Payroll Tax Report, the drop-down selection box that used
to let me select the type of tax to report is empty. I verified that in the
Tax Tables set-up the appropriate box was checked for each tax type that
used to appear in the Payroll Tax Reports options. I have manually updated
my Tax Tables for several years with no problems and all other aspects of
processing and reporting seem to work fine! Any help will be appreciated.

Hi All,
We operate Peachtree complete 2003 and when trying to close April 1, 2001 to
March 31, 2002 we get the error "there are unprinted accounts payable checks
dated in the year you are closing". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to import an Excel chart of accounts into Peachtree.  I’ve
saved it as a .csv file, made sure the fields are synchronized,
deleted the header field, unchecked the header field box, etc, etc,
etc.  I keep getting the error "Cannot open xxxxxxxx.csv file"  What
am I doing wrong?

When trying to purge after closing in 8.0, the system seemed to lock up.  I
know from the year end guide that purging can take a while, but it was
making some progress.  After 5 hours it was still  processing.

Is this normal.  If not when I go back tomorrow and it still hasn’t
finished, how do I restore my backup.  I also copied my file to another
location on my hard drive before I started.  Can I just reboot and copy this
saved file to the peachtree directory.

I did not see any options to stop the purge.  Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

Hi everyone!  I have a client who was using PCW2003 on a stand-alone
workstation.  All was working well.

Until….

this weekend when they put it on a Linux server.  Now I know NOTHING about
Linux, but their network guy said he "copied" all the files from my client’s
PC to the server – said you cannot install a Windows program on a Linux
server.  He reinstalled PT on the workstation then as a network install,
with the data pointing to the server drive. Peachtree itself seems to be
working fine, but the Fixed Assets module isn’t working – keeps saying it
can’t find the falimit.dat file. The file is located on both the server and
the workstation and I thought OK…maybe the file was corrupted somehow so I
emailed her my file.  Same results.

Anybody have any ideas here?  I don’t do much with Fixed Assets and I’ve
done nothing with Linux so I’m really stumped!

Peachtree 2003 question

I enter a beginning balance of $1278 in Accumulated Depreciation
period adjustment
    debit depreciation expense  $800
        credit accumulated depreciation  $800

Why does the general ledger show the accumulated depreciation as -$1278 beg
bal ?
after the adjustment the amount is -$2078

Why the negative number.  Peachtree is generating it.  Did I set up
something incorrectly?

When backing up using Peachtree’s backup function, user receives a
Peachtree error message "Unable to make the destination file(s)"  User
clicks OK.  Same message — Click O.K. again. Then message comes up
"This company back up will require approximately X.XXMB.  User selects
O.K. and the backup is created.  What is causing the 1st 2 error
messages?
